The proprietor, Tyrone (Ty) Stewart, has been working on motorcycles since the 70s and in his spare time built and raced a pro stock Harley-Davidson® on the pro racing circuit. During the 90s Ty's skill and expertise in the drag racing arena were recognized and acknowledged by what was then the Harley-Davidson® Racing Association (HDRA) by becoming their recipient of the Mechanic of the Year award. This previous racing experience has led Ty's Cycle to form a pro racing team that drag races Suzuki Hayabusas.
